ABOUT

InnovationAus.com hosts the 2016 election’s first ministerial debate on innovation and digital transformation in collaboration with a cross section of the sector’s most important industry groups. This event is an opportunity to gather insights into the major political parties industry plans for the next three years and beyond.

Importantly, it is also an opportunity for the Government and the Opposition to put some flesh on the bare bones of policy discussion that has so far occurred during this debate.

The debate between the Prime Minister’s point man on Cities and Digital Transformation Angus Taylor and Labor’s spokesman on Digital Innovation and Startups spokesman Ed Husic, comes as the election campaign enters its final stages and the industry seeks clarification on key policy areas.

UTS Vice-Chancellor Attila Brungs will provide context and perspective ahead of the debate, with a presentation on the innovation challenges and opportunities in Australia, and the current state of the nation’s innovation ecosystems.

The InnovationAus.com Election 2016: Innovation Debate promises to be exactly that. A real debate, between two of the best credentialed innovation and digital transformation advocates in the Australian Parliament. No topics are off limits, and the format includes both a moderated component and a free-form audience Q&A.

It is followed by lunch and networking. We can’t wait.

Seats are extremely limited.
